Looks like the Rays plan to move the location of their home games.

Where do you think the new location should be?

Myakka City!!!!!! Plenty of room, barrel race parking could be an alternative, petting zoo for the kids, not a problem. Farm stand vending menu, and it would be real close to major populated areas, such as Wimmama, Ona, Arcadia.

I don’t think they should move from St.Pete we had the lighting they were great in St.Pete .Just because the name has Tampa Bay in it .Does not mean it should move to Tampa.I was born in Tampa so I’m not trying to dis the city ,but why does every thing have to go to Tampa once it’s popular

I believe he is doing the right thing by moving the Rays to a more centrally located area, it is a sound financial move. My first choice would be the fairgrounds and my second choice would be the carillon area in St Pete. Since the rail is coming from the Orlando area to Tampa it only makes to move it to the fairgrounds.

Greg, you must not like baseball or are a very disgrunted person about them moving the team.

Leave it where it is,
Use the money to add on to the High Speed Rail to feed in from Tampa and North Clearwater.
Times are hard, Stop Squeezing the fans.
Bunch of Cry Babies.

How about a better option, let them buy their own stadium with their own funds any where they want to build it. I am sick & tired of funding businesses with taxpayer funds, especially ones that make obscene amounts of money that pretend to be games or sports. They are businesses.

I like the Trop, but if they must have a new venue, it must be AIR CONDITIONED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Fairground is the best available choice. The interstate system can support the traffic and the rail line will be going right past it. They need to put up a garage and that will support the other events held there. The Rays can pull attendance from the bay area all the way to Orlando.

I have no problem with the Trop (we are season ticket holders). Since it sounds like a move is inevitable, I think the Gateway/Carillon area would be great. Just off the Howard Frankland (easy for fans coming from the east) but a little further for the fans from the south. Not a huge fan of the Fairgrounds area (terrible access for concerts) but definitely not in DT Tampa!! UGH!! Let’s see just how many things can be crammed into a small location!

They should move somewhere where we don’t have to foot the bill!

Perfect location if at the Fairgrounds. The Rays would attract fans from tampa, St Pete, Brandon, Plant City, Lakeland and other surrounding areas. St Pete is just too far to go especially after work, this location is very doable.
Hope they consider another dome, it makes more sence with the weather issues we have here, afternoon rain storms and excessive heat.

I don’t think they should move at all. In this econmic envirement people keep building new building only because they want the best. Hospital’s, doctor’s offices, other bussness. Save the money and use what we have. Would people be so excited and generous if the money was going to the poor? I think priorities are very mixed up here.

How about they leave it where it is? The Trop is an excellent location… easy on and off the interstate and the City does a great job getting people in and out of the area. And not only is it air conditiioned but games do not get delayed due to the weather. Why anyone would want to sit in the heat and rain is beyond me!!

If they want more people to go to the games they need to take it off of tv. Why would I want to pay to go to the game when I can watch it in the comfort of my own home? Free (or at least cheaper) food and drink… no line at the bathroom… comfortable seating… instant replays AND the ability to pause the game anytime I need to.

Now take all of the “perks” of being able to watch it on tv away and I will go to the games more often and I don’t think that I am alone!!
